The event committee are committed to bringing the highest standard event to our stakeholders – cyclists, spectators and various other supporters alike. Unsurprisingly the cost of hosting such an event is expensive. The outlay includes: prize fund, insurance, police and medical support, logistics (bus for athlete collection and return and support vehicles during the race), promotional collateral, TV broadcasting etc. Nobody will receive any form of salary or fees, all labor is voluntary.
Our current sponsors have kindly helped with cash contributions or contribution in-kind. We are interested in hearing from 1-2 more companies to help elevate this event to the next level. So the region can have a truly international standard multi day cycling event.
